Electronic Giving

Simply Giving The Simply Giving® Program is a modern-day stewardship program. It's a convenient, safe and simple way for individuals to make automatic payments to non-profit organizations through electronic funds transfer (EFT) directly from checking or savings accounts. This program is operated by Vanco Services, LLC, an industry leader in electronic payment solutions. Thrivent Financial Bank has contracted with Vanco to provide transaction processing services for the program at reduced rates.

To enroll in Simply Giving for your Galilee Offerings, complete the Simply Giving® Form and send/leave it in the Galilee Office or put it in the offering plate during any worship service. After you sign up, laminated green cards are available in the pews for you to put into the offering in place of an offering envelope during worship.  Be aware that the church will pay a $.20 to  $0.40 transaction fee for each donation.

Galilee Lutheran Church Federal ID Code is 52-1049013-1

Serving at Galilee

Serving God - There are many opportunities to serve God at Galilee. Just one worship service takes many people from the Pastor to the media operator to the readers to the Nursery attendant to make the worship service run smoothly! All ages at Galilee are invited to find a place where they can serve God. To help decide which ministry opportunity where you might fit, take a look at our on-line Galilee Ministry Descriptions Guidebook or check out our schedule for opportunities at Volunteer Schedule. This book is full of opportunities to engage in service at Galilee. Below we have listed some of our more urgent needs but there are many more opportunities. When you see an opportunity that you might be interested, contact either the name referenced or DoD Emily Phoenix for more information or to volunteer!

Projection & Soundboard Help Needed - Looking for a unique, behind the scenes way to serve in worship?
We need volunteers specifically for Saturday service and 8 am service on Sunday to operate the projection system or the sound board.
Please talk to Director of Discipleship Emily Phoenix ( if interested in serving in either position.
You will have several opportunities to shadow experienced volunteers prior to making the commitment to serve and being put on a schedule. Thanks!

Water Bottles - One distinctive feature of our 4:30 pm Saturday Living Water Worship service has been giving a water bottle to worshipers after the service. We’re looking for members or businesses to provide water bottles for upcoming services. You will be acknowledged on the bottle sleeve. Please contact the church office (410-255-8236 or office@galilee for details.

Return Their Visit - Front Porch Visitors make a “return visit” to first-time worship guests who don’t list a church home. We drop off a loaf of homemade pumpkin bread and a “thank you” for visiting. We don’t go inside. We simply want our guests to know we’re glad they visited. If you’re willing to do this for someone who visits, please contact the church office (410-255-8236).

Prayer Power - Would you be willing to spend a minute each day praying for a specific need on the mission field and/or for missionaries who have birthdays on that day? If your answer is “yes,” you’re invited to take a copy of the “Pray for Us” missionary prayer calendar available on the table in the narthex (lobby). These single sheets easily fit into a Bible, devotional book or Portals of Prayer daily devotional booklet, allowing your praying to be done when you spend time with the Lord each day.

Help in the Nursery - We are glad to provide the opportunity for children to visit the nursery on Sunday mornings at the 10:45 am service. We also appreciate the current volunteers who serve in this way.
But - we need help! We are encouraging members who use the nursery on a regular basis and members who love children, to sign up to help once every four to six weeks. We would like to have two volunteers in the nursery each week for safety and accountability purposes.
Students age 12 and older are eligible to help in the nursery. We ask parents of teen helpers under the age of 18 to serve alongside their student.
Please contact the Worship Team to sign up to help.

Worship Volunteers - One worship service requires many, many people to volunteer. Sometimes as many as eighteen and that doesn't include the choir! Multiply that by threes services and you see why Galilee Worship needs so many volunteers. For opportunities to Serve God through worship ministry, see our WORSHIP page.

Galilee Newsletter Team - We’re looking for volunteers willing to invest a couple of hours on the third Wednesday of each month to get our newsletter, the Galilee Gazette, assembled and ready to mail. Training is provided and the fellowship is a bonus!  Contact the office via e-mail or phone (see above links) for details and dates.
