Thanks and blessings to all those who attended, commented and voted throughout this process.
A heartfelt thank you to Gary Thomas and the members of the renovation committee as well. While this action is an historic and joyful day, there is much work yet to be done. Your support and prayers are requested. God's richest blessings on you and Galilee.

Pillowcase dresses - It's that time of year again for Galilee members and friends to make pillowcase dresses for distribution by Orphan Grain Train to girls in Liberia and India.
In the meantime, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is asking for donations of cotton fabric, trim suitable for dresses, 1/2" elastic, flip flops and girls’ underwear.
Kits are available and a donation box is set up on the LWML end of the table on the west end of the narthex (lobby).. If you have questions, please contact Cheryl Blankinship (410-439-8916).

Ignite Your Faith - Young Adults Study - A Bible study/discussion called “Ignite” will be launched on Tuesday, May 29 and continue throughout the summer from 7:30-8:30 pm at Galilee for adults ages 17 – 31. Recognizing Vets - Our congregation will observe Armed Forces Sunday in worship on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27 – Memorial Day weekend.
We will thank God for the serving of current members and friends of our congregation in our nation’s military, past or present.
They will be personally recognized at the service they attend.
Since there may be veterans of whom we are unaware, please help us by providing the following information to the church office by noon Tuesday, May 22, if you have not done so in previous years:

  1. Name of person.
  2. Military branch and years served.
  3. A photo to borrow for showing on the projection screens before worship.
Please e-mail the church office or phone the church office (410-255-8236) with the information. Thank you.

Memorial Day Flags - If anyone would like to donate toward the cost of the memorial flag display on the front lawn, please make checks to Men’s Group of Galilee.
The flags will go up May 23.
If you have someone you would like to memorialize or honor, I need the names as soon as possible.
If you gave me the names last year, no need to do it again, unless you want to add someone. Thanks. – Jim Burke (stoneyb_2@verizon.net)

Worship & Celebration for Pastor Hank & Mary - The weekend of June 2 and 3 will be Pastor Hank and Dr. Mary Simon’s last days at Galilee, as he retires.

Military Biblesticks - The Lay Ministry Team campaign to purchase military Biblesticks has already surpassed our goal of 50 and reached 69 Biblesticks!
These Biblesticks (audio Bibles) provide God’s peace and hope to service personnel and their families.
The donation church boxes will be on the tables at the Easter Breakfast as a first opportunity to contribute to this cause.
Each $25 we collect will buy one service member and his or her family the gift of God’s Word and hope.
You may support this cause through Memorial Day Weekend by checking out the red box on the information table in the narthex (lobby).
