Spring Thing April 21 - What time is it? Time to think spring!
Time to clean out your closets, basements, attics, garages and junk rooms.
Time to make some money by reserving a space to sell your products, crafts or “fleas” at the: Galilee Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Spring Thing flea market.

Time to shop on Saturday, April 21: browse at the vendors’, crafts and flea market tables. Buy some spring flowers, eat some lunch, taco in a bag or home baked goods.

Pillowcase dresses - It's that time of year again for Galilee members and friends to make pillowcase dresses for distribution by Orphan Grain Train to girls in Liberia and India.
In the meantime, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is asking for donations of cotton fabric, trim suitable for dresses, 1/2" elastic, flip flops and girls’ underwear.
Kits are available and a donation box is set up on the LWML end of the table on the west end of the narthex (lobby).. If you have questions, please contact Cheryl Blankinship (410-439-8916).
Men's Work Day - The Men’s Bible Breakfast group, as part of the Men's Network of Lutheran Hour Ministries, is inviting all men of Galilee to participate in a work day on Saturday, April 28.
In service to our community, we will volunteer at Orphan Grain Train in Millersville by producing and addressing packages for delivery. As part of the day, we will receive a tour of the Orphan Grain Train facility.
The work day will run from 9 am to noon. We will carpool from Galilee at 8:30 am.

Galilee Youth will STARVE for Food (for the hungry!) - Galilee Youth will be participating in World Vision's 30 Hour famine weekend on April 27th and 28th.
During the event, we will be doing activities and bible studies that teach us about famine and poverty in areas and countries across the globe.
We will also be participating in service project during the time we are fasting.
You can donate in any of three ways!
- Look for a participating Galilee Youth in the Narthex before or after services under a sign that says "Will Starve for Food"
- Go to the GALILEE YOUTH STARVING website at
https://youth.worldvision.org/team/GalileeYouthStarving - there you can donate to either the team as a whole or to any youth with an individual donation page
- Make a donation via check in the offering plate. Checks should be made out to 'GALILEE LUTHERAN CHURCH' with "FAMINE" in the notes line. These donations will be split among the youth participating

Spring Concert - You are invited to Otis Stroup in Concert at Galilee starting at 6:30 pm Sunday April 29.
Tickets are $15 and available for purchase in the narthex between services (except during Holy Week). Make checks payable to Lutheran Women’s Mission-ary League (LWML).
Refreshments will be served after the concert in the fellowship hall.
The concert benefits Lutheran Mission Society and the Augsburg Lutheran Home.

Eat Chipotle, support GLP! - Galilee Lutheran Preschool (GLP) is hosting dining out from 5-9 pm Monday, April 30 at Chipotle in Severna Park.
Please join us for dine in or carry out.
We will earn 50 percent of sales, if you tell them you are supporting Galilee Lutheran Preschool! Flyer is optional and available on the table in the narthex (lobby).
Walk for Water - On Saturday, May 19, thousands of people will join the world’s largest 6K walk for clean water and walk/run for an extraordinary cause, bringing clean water to children and their families.
You are invited to join fellow Galileans in this endeavor right here in our community.
Galilee will host an event at the B & A trail at 10 am. We will meet in the parking lot near JC Penny at Marley Station Mall and travel to the trail together.
No fundraising required, just a one-time fee, which will provide clean water to one person.

Military Biblesticks - The Lay Ministry Team is launching a campaign to purchase Military Biblesticks.
These Biblesticks (audio Bibles) provide God’s peace and hope to service personnel and their families.
The donation church boxes will be on the tables at the Easter Breakfast as a first opportunity to contribute to this cause.
Each $25 we collect will buy one service member and his or her family the gift of God’s Word and hope.

Preschool Fundraiser - Galilee Lutheran Preschool (GLP) is doing a Mixed Bag Designs fundraiser now through the middle of April.

Class for 2's opens! A month ago, three two-year-olds began their school journey with Jesus at Galilee Lutheran Preschool (GLP) in our newest class. This class is now full!
We are registering for March-May sessions from 9:15-11:45 am Monday and Wednesday. The first sessions will be held Monday, March 5.
Beginning in September, two sessions will run: Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday, both from 9:15-11:45 am.
We are registering for fall sessions for two-year-olds on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/ Thursday, both from 9:15-11:45 am.
If you have a friend or family member looking for a preschool for their child, please invite them to consider Galilee.
GLP also offers morning (9:15-11:45 am) and full-day (9:15 am-2:15 pm) classes for three-year-olds (Tuesday and Thursday), four-year-olds (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and four and five-year-olds (five-day transition class).

New Way to Serve in 2018 - Looking for a unique, behind the scenes way to serve in worship?
We need volunteers specifically for Saturday service and 8am service on Sunday to operate the projection system or the sound board.

You will have several opportunities to shadow experienced volunteers prior to making the commitment to serve and being put on a schedule. Thanks!
