Wednesday Lenten Worship - Our Wednesday services of Noontime Prayer and Evening Prayer will continue the series of readers theater dramatic presentations on “How Would You Judge Jesus?” A prosecuting attorney and a defense attorney each will examine potential jurors for the trial of Jesus.
The services start at 11:30 am and 7 pm and last about 35 minutes. Next Wednesday has the theme, “The Apathetic Juror,” as readings from Scripture, sermonic comment and thematic hymns help us explore our feelings towards and our relationship with Jesus.

Pillowcase dresses - It's that time of year again for Galilee members and friends to make pillowcase dresses for distribution by Orphan Grain Train to girls in Liberia and India.
10 am Friday, Feb. 16 is the time and day to put together kits for making the dresses at home.
In the meantime, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is asking for donations of cotton fabric, trim suitable for dresses, 1/2" elastic, flip flops and girls’ underwear.
A donation box will be set up on the LWML end of the table on the west end of the narthex (lobby).. If you have questions, please contact Cheryl Blankinship (410-439-8916).

Request for Bicycles - In anticipation of shipping to India and Liberia by Orphan Grain Train (an all-volunteer charity), there is a particular need for bicycles for all age groups.
Put simply, bicycles are often the only mode of transportation instead of walking.
If you have a bicycle that you would like to donate, please contact Dean Castle (dean.castle@MD-orphangraintrain.org or 410-255-5938).

Security Workshop February 25th - Galilee will host a security program with Anne Arundel County Police Cpl. James Shiloh on Sunday, Feb. 25.
This program will focus on security when we are here at church. We invite you to this free event, starting with a free light lunch of sliders and chips, beverages and dessert starting at 12:30 pm.

Learning about Galilee If you’re interested in learning more about what we believe at Galilee Lutheran Church, the spring adult inquiry class is a good introduction to our understanding of Christian faith and life.
“Connecting” will be led by Pastor Hank starting at 9:20 am Sunday, March 4 and run for six Sundays during the Sunday School/adult education hour.
The class also is the first step toward membership in our congregation for persons coming from other Christian traditions, but no obligation is involved in attending the sessions.
If you are interested, but have a problem with the schedule… or have questions, please contact Pastor Hank (410-255-8236 or pastor@ galileelutheranchurch.org).
